After sleeping on it for several days, I decided to change a few minor things from my initial planning for the yoke of this second sweater adventure.
First, I needed to do an actual correction to my provisional CO stitch count. Since I’m working in the round, I won’t, after all, lose a stitch when I remove the PCO to work the neck ribbing in the opposite direction, so I did my PCO with only 140 sts, not the 141 I had originally planned.
Second, I decided to forego winding off a small ball of colorway 1 to leave at the beginning of the yoke. It was slightly annoying for the first 10 rounds or so to have it dangling from my circ, so I’ll just reattach colorway 1 and weave in a couple extra ends when I work the neck ribbing in the finishing.
As for the rest of the plan, I’ll be following it exactly.
I have already worked the second increase round
so the next big event will be breaking off colorway 1 after I complete round 60 and starting the first 20-round band of colorway 2. I will then break off colorway 2 and switch to colorway 3, during which I’ll separate the sleeves and body, exactly as I did in the CotLin U-Neck.
The rest of sweater #2 will be worked the same as the CotLin U-Neck, though with the updated stitch and round counts based on that sweater and colorway changes I determined on to avoid yarn chicken.
Time to get back to knitting!
