All along I’ve been concerned that the delays of half the raglan increases (on the fronts and the back), due to the front and back necks being overly wide right from the very beginning of the sweater, would make the fabric act weird. My original intention was to work through the wrong-side row 24, ahead of the front’s first set of raglan incs to be worked on row 25 and the back’s to be worked on row 27, then put the sts on my preferred ribbon stitch holders and evaluate the fabric.
But I decided I couldn’t wait that long!!!! So here’s the WIP after row 20
and row 30.
I am pretty psyched!!!!
Yes, there’s a slight weirdness with the necklines pulling away from each other, which isn’t that surprising given how the neckline is constructed. I’m hoping that I was progress downward, and especially now that I’ve started both the front raglan and the V-neck increases, that the widening fabric will straighten itself back out.
Getting to the bottom of the V-neck will be the next pic!
